Kid’s Halloween Weekend

Once again we will have our kid’s Halloween weekend on October 9. Activities will include pumpkin decorating, costume contest and trick or treat parade. We encourage anyone visiting us that weekend to bring costumes and decorate your campsites! Due to covid, we won’t have our traditional trick-or-treat hayrack ride but will instead have a parade that will include our staff and seasonal campers driving around that campground on golf carts passing out candy.

Spray Park is OPEN!

The spray park is once again open!! After and extremely long wait for one part, we got her up and running. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are so happy we are able to offer this amenity once again.

New Playground!

Our preschool playground is now open! The kids are loving it and we are so happy to be able to provide more recreation for our families.

Gaga Ball and Ten Spin

2020 wasn’t the greatest year, and even our recreational equipment couldn’t escape the misfortunes of the “year that must not be named”. However, the new Ten Spin and Gaga Ball court have both been installed and are ready for play!  We have shifted some of the equipment over to make room for the new preschool playground that will be going in this summer. We are excited to have our recreational area back together for everyone to enjoy again!

New Patio Furniture

Some of our premium RV sites and deluxe cabins will be getting new patio furniture this year. We know how important comfort and relaxation is for our campers and look forward to seeing the furniture put to use!

Halloween Fun

As we have done for several years, Rock Island KOA at Camelot has free pumpkins for
children 15 and under who are camping with us. We also have pumpkins for sale. All pumpkins
are grown on the property and once they are gone they are gone.

On October 10th we will again hold our children’s Halloween Day event. This year we must
modify the activities because of the pandemic but we think the kids can still have a great time.
So instead of the Trick-O-Treat hay wagon ride the kids will remain at their camp site and Trick-
Or-Treat will come to them. Our wonderful activity director came up with the idea of holding a
Halloween golf cart parade and the participants will carry candy to hand out to the children as
the parade proceeds through the park. To prevent direct contact with participants and to be extra
safe, the golf cart riders will be masked and will use gloves to place candy into the kids bucket or
bag. Like all events, participation is up to you our guest so we hope you bring the children in
costume to enjoy Halloween in a new way here at the Rock Island KOA.
